Job Title: Software Engineer

MICROCORP Technology Sdn Bhd. has an immediate need for an entry to intermediate level Software Engineer. In this position you will be part of the Client Services team, supporting customers and developing unique integration solutions to meet customer requirements using Java and related Web technologies.

You will participate in customer projects by developing solutions, testing results, and documenting the procedures under the direction of a Senior Software Engineer or Project Manager.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing support to project manager engagements
• Analyzing client needs and designing data structures and methods as required
• Modifying application user interface (using HTML, PHP, XML, XSL and JavaScript)
• Developing business logic layer and workflows using Java
• Testing final software
• Creating user documentation
• Provide onsite production support
• Status and issues reporting
• Issues resolution
• Trouble shoot and investigate system issues
• Coordinate with RTC for delivery of fixes
• Manage and conduct UAT
• Manage and execute rollout of fixes

Required Skills/Experience:

• Willingness to take on new challenges

• Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
• Strong technical background and problem-solving skills
• Web application experience (HTML, XML, Java Script))
• Familiarity with relational database concepts and systems
• Provide onsite production support

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with AutoCAD
• Experience with databases Oracle, SQL or Sybase
• Previous Experience in Facility Management, or Higher Education industries
• Experience with Web services, SOAP or SOA

This position requires a BS in Computer Science or IT and/or 1 - 3 years of equivalent professional experience. Candidate must be a team player

Job Title: QA Engineer

MICROCORP Technology Sdn Bhd. has an immediate need for an entry to intermediate level Business Analyst/QA Personnel. In this position you will be part of the Client Services team, supporting customers and developing unique integration solutions to meet customer requirements using Java and related Web technologies.

You will participate in customer projects by analyzing solutions, testing results, and documenting the procedures under the direction of a Project Manager.
Responsibilities include:

• Manage the enhancement requirements
• Prioritization for assigned application system
• Define users functional requirements, coordinating closely with users and technical team
• Manage and conduct User Acceptance Test (UAT)
• Update related system and operation procedures
• Assist in conducting training
• Develop and execute roll out plans
• Manage and execute rollout of fixes

Required Skills/Experience:

• Knowledge in System Development Life Cycle
• Knowledge in User Requirement Gathering, UAT, Production and post production support

This position requires a BS in Computer Science or Engineering and/or 1 - 3 years of equivalent professional experience. Candidate must be a team player.
